Baker is in his fourth year playing Bulldog Football as a Defensive Lineman and his 10th year playing competitive football within the Edmond Bulldog Vertical. He also participated in track and wrestling. He comes to EMHS from Central Middle School and plans to attend and play competitive sports at college or alternatively attend a trade school. He is cheered on this season by Brent and Nicole Baker.

As a powerful defensive lineman, Jake Baker's football career is distinguished by a history of strong team performance and individual accolades.

Baker has already started adding to his stack of individual awards in the 2025 season as he earned the Edmond Memorial Trench Player of the game vs Edmond North in Week 2 as well as vs Westmoore in Week 8.

He was a member of the 2024 Edmond Memorial Football team that finished as OSSAA State Semi-finalists, Oklahoma Class 6A-1 Regional Champions, 2024 District Championship Runners-up and 2024 Edmond All-city Champions.

He was a member of the 2022 COAC Conference 9th Grade Championship team.

He was also on the 4th grade INFC Oklahoma State Championship runners-up team in 2017.

His Youth Bulldog team won 3 consecutive Division Championships by dominating during 3 undefeated seasons.
