A significant addition to Edmond Memorial's historic 2024 semi-finalist football season, McGowen returned to the Bulldog Vertical as a junior, immediately impacting the team as a versatile Linebacker and Halfback.
With more than 11 years of tackle football experience, he brings a seasoned presence to both sides of the ball. His athleticism is further showcased through his participation in EMHS baseball, as well as competitive travel baseball.
Having joined EMHS from Oklahoma Christian Schools (via Deer Creek), McGowen is focused on continuing his athletic journey by playing collegiate football after high school. He's cheered on this season by his biggest fans, Kendell and Tiffany McGowen.

A history of both team success and individual defensive recognition defines Bradyn McGowen's football career.
McGowen has already started adding to his stack of individual awards in the 2025 season as he earned a spot as a Team Captain and was named the Edmond Memorial Defensive Player of the game vs Deer Creek in Week 1.
During the 2024 season, he was an indispensable athlete impacting Edmond Memorial Football's impressive year. They finished as OSSAA State Semi-finalists, secured the title of Oklahoma Class 6A-1 Regional Champions, were 2024 District Championship Runners-up, and ultimately claimed the title of 2024 Edmond All-city Champions.
Individually, McGowen's strong defensive play earned him accolades in 2024, including KREF SPORTS TV Co-Defensive Player of the Game vs. Westmoore and EMHS Week 4 Defensive Player of the Game.
His involvement in successful teams dates back to his youth football days; he was a member of the 4th grade INFC Oklahoma State Championship runners-up team in 2017. Furthermore, his Youth Bulldog team achieved remarkable dominance, winning three consecutive Division Championships by dominating during three undefeated seasons.
